Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There's no need to wait for Fashion's Night Out to partake in late-night shopping and merrimaking, for tonight will feature plenty of both at Echo Park's first ever Hospitality Night. In a similar vein to the Vogue-orchestrated event that will be hitting LA next month, the neighborhood's boutiques will be staying open late with plenty of discounts and snacks—but, unlike the Wintourian version, this one is sure to boast more directional haircuts, secondhand dresses, and bands you've never heard of. The crawl stretches a considerable length down West Sunset, taking in Sirens and Sailors, Luxe de Ville, Origami Vinyl, Stories Bookstore, Beauty Box and almost every shop in between, while Warwick—a vintage store we recently profiled that's masterminding the whole shebang—will be hosting a performance by local band Whiskey Circus at 9pm. If you can't make it between 6pm-11pm, don't despair—this is set to be an every-third-Wednesday-of-the-month kind of happening, and we'll be on the scene tonight to document what you missed out on.
