Taking his cues from the proliferation of mobile food vans on LA's streets, Johnny Cupcakes founder John Earle is looking to take his shop on the road. According to WWD, the t-shirt maestro is "looking into getting a food delivery truck he will use more like an ice cream man would," although there's still no word on which city's streets it would be roaming. The brand is also seeking to partner with actual bakeries for one-day-only shopping events, as well as to continue hosting impromptu movie nights and pizza parties in cities around the country, all organized via Twitter. At least they haven't resorted to hawking $2 tank tops outside of their shops, like Old Navy—a marketing tactic cited in the same article. [WWD, sub. required]
