Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

WESTWOOD: In the spirit of poolside fun and recycled fashion, a group of local style editors have linked with Yelp.com to host a clothing swap at the W Hotel in Westwood. This Thursday (August 20) from 6:30-8:30pm, you're invited to cart up to ten gently-worn items of apparel, shoes or accessories to the hotel's pool and swap them with the other guests' loot, all for free. All leftovers will go to benefit Women Helping Women, and if you can't decide whether that slightly moth-eaten cashmere cardi looks grungey-chic or just plain gross, the LA Times' Melissa Magsaysay, WWD's Marcy Medina, and OK! Magazine's Jennifer Birn will be there to help set you straight. Bonus for early birds—the first 30 entrants will get a gift bag from The Green Garmento. RSVP to get your name on the list. BRENTWOOD: That same night, buzzy young designer Caycee Black will be premiering her collection at Brentwood's Feature boutique (known for hosting pop-up shops for Wren and Geren Ford in recent months). From 4pm-7pm, the New York-based designer will be plying guests with cupcakes and cocktails—although we don't think we'd need much convincing to snap up anything from her collection, a few pieces from which are pictured above.
