A few weeks ago, we reported that local jewelry designer Annie Costello Brown had scored a diffusion range for Urban Outfitters— and now, it looks like her elegant leather pieces have caught the attention of an even bigger brand. We've learned that the designer has created the first jewelry collection to accompany Yves Saint Laurent's Edition 24 line, a range of closet staples—think trenches, smoking jackets, breezy blouses—designed for everyday wear. According to Harper's Bazaar, Brown's debut "comprises 14 organic yet elegant necklaces made of leather and metal, and it features stunners in everything from strong geometric shapes to ethnic, fringed objets d'art." Further digging produced the above images of the jewelry in situ, revealing the designer's signature leather fringe and chains rendered in complex, thoughtful ways. Quite a coup for one of LA's hometown girls.
