One of the great mysteries haunting the fashion world in recent months has been the origins of the Louis Vuitton 'bunny ears' that popped up both in the brand's runway show and on Madonna's head. But today, Marc Jacobs reveals their inspiration—the result of (underworked?) staffers tying bits of fabric around each others' heads. "We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around Lucy's head and said, 'Bunny ears, that's what we need to finish this look.' So we made all these radzimir bunny ears and that's how it happened. I like the kind of Playboy, French coquette aspect to it." Finally, you can sleep at night. [Fashionologie]
