MID-CITY: Although, like us, you may not have heard of Robin Brouillette, the San Fran-based designer's work has graced the pages of W, Nylon and Lucky magazines alike (among lots of others). This underground sensation is showing her wares for the first time in LA tomorrow (Saturday, August 1), from 12pm-6pm, at 5619 W. 4th Street's Vie Bungalow. Expect discounted party dresses from her current collection, plus the chance to pre-order a piece from the Fall'09 range—the invite promises silky confections dripping with "tassles, ruffles and chains" [Racked Inbox]
CHINATOWN: Who needs friends with backyards when there are so many boutique BBQ's around town? This week's pick comes courtesy of Choose Chinatown (441 Gin Ling Way), who will be grilling up hotdogs from 3pm-5pm tomorrow, all while taking 50% off its entire stock of Cheap Monday, Kostym and WKND gear. Highlights include $35 denim and $15 t-shirts, plus tunes by DJ Dirty Talk of Modern Lovers fame. And you don't even need to BYOB. [Racked Inbox]
