Today in vending machines that sell things other than Doritos, we present a collaboration between The Standard hotels and Quiksilver. The brands have joined forces to create a machine that distributes swimsuits—'70s-style trunks for the guys, and a black bikini for the ladies. Each of the four men's styles is inspired by the four Standard hotel locations—Downtown LA, Hollywood, Miami and New York— and a city guide to each destination is printed inside the waistbands. The machines will be hitting the Downtown location on August 8 and the other locations in forthcoming months, just in time for the end of pool party season. [WWD Men's, sub. required]
