Milan may be the buzziest city when it comes to fashion, but according to Forbes, London takes the title of world's best shopping destination. The magazine found that the city contains the highest percentage of the world's 280 top retailers, housing nearly 60% of them within its city limits. As Forbes explains it, London's real-estate regulations are less strict than in many other foreign countries, so many international brands choose it as a "launch pad for foreign expansion."

Other key shopping cities include Paris in second place, with nearly 50% of key shops represented, followed by New York, Tokyo and Dubai. As for LA? Well, we don't even factor on the list, but we suppose that gives us all the more reason to schedule a long weekend away during sales season.
