Now Open: Panty Raid's "Morregency" Den in Los Feliz

Longstanding Silver Lake lingerie shop Panty Raid has completed its move to Los Feliz's Hillhurst Ave, and to celebrate the new space, owner Jen Abercrombie has chosen to revamp the store's design concept. Inspired by the shiny silver wallpaper she put up behind the cash register, Abercrombie concocted what she's dubbed a "Morregency" aesthetic for the store: Moroccan accents like a tile-printed carpet and cushions on the floor, combined with Regency details like an heirloom chandelier and regal, Tiffany-box blue walls. "The last store was very modern and stark, so this time, I wanted to do something a little more girly," she says.

With Steven Alan Outpost and Vamp Shoes settled in neighboring storefronts, opening weekend foot traffic was reported to be strong—not to mention that many browsers were coming from the cafes and restaurants on the stretch, like Alcove, Vinoteca, Little Dom's and the Mustard Seed. As Abercrombie puts it: "We've got brunch on one side and happy hour on the other!" We think it's worth the move for that alone.
