While we normally give all sorts of kudos to risk-taking designers, we're not quite so generous when those risks could result in an ER visit. Take LA's own Dechel McKillion, for example. The mad jewelry scientist has concocted the "earlace", an intriguing mash-up of necklace and earrings that's just arrived at Live! on Sunset. Yes, it does look pretty cool, but when we think about how many times our normal necklaces get caught on things in an average day, the earlobe casualty rate seems a little higher than we're comfortable with. But, then again, Rihanna seems to have worn it without incident, so maybe our fears are unfounded. Thoughts?
