Shareen Goes Global

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Downtown vintage dynamo Shareen Mitchell has expanded her operation to New York, opening a hush-hush salon in an unmarked Chelsea space. The Cut stopped by for a tour, noting "The long and narrow apartment-style shop is divided into categories — party dresses, hippie dresses, fur coats, leather jackets, rompers, gowns, etc. — and almost everything sells for under $100." A very exciting development for one of our favorite vintage shops in the city—let's just hope she's keeping the best stuff here in LA. [The Cut]
