Los Angeles Downtown News has revealed the winners of its 'Best Businesses' awards, most of which were chosen by readers. The 'Best Boutique' title goes to the FIDM Scholarship Store, which boasts "mid-range and big-name designer clothes at bargain prices," plus fabrics starting at $1. Brooks Brothers was named the best place for men's suits, Famima the best convenience store, and, for the megastore-phobic, Grand Central Market was the overall winner for the best place to buy stuff that's not Ralphs [LA Downtown News]
