Jeggings Will Save Our Groin Nerves, Says the Early Show

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Skinny jeans are destroying our groin nerves! Or so Dr. Jennifer Ashton tells the CBS Early Show (clip above). You'll remember this story from when it surfaced back in May, and you might even be familiar with its previous incarnation, when the concern was about low-rise jeans. We still think the warnings seem a bit exaggerated, since you can also damage that particular nerve with too much standing and/or walking. But if you're still worried about your groin, there is a solution: Jeggings, which, as we reported yesterday, are beginning to sweep the city. The ones Dr. Ashton recommends have a painted-on fly.
