Yesterday, the Daily News reported that Target was experiencing cold feet about Anna Sui's Gossip Girl-themed collection. Style List did some digging, though, and discovered that what's going on here is basically the retail equivalent of the time Blair told everyone at the Ivy mixer that Serena had a drug problem, when really she was just at the Ostroff Center to visit her suicidal brother. The brand is also sponsoring the show's season premiere, although they wouldn't comment on the rumor that Sui's collection would appear in an episode.
