It's a well-known fact that nobody walks in LA, so we were a little perplexed to learn Japanese brand B by Aperire has chosen to launch their high-heeled running shoes here. Blackbook tipped us off to their new Melrose boutique, filled with the entire range of cushion-y soled shoes. A quick scan of the brand's website revealed Minnie Mouse pumps and fluoro fringed gladiators, which we can just about get behind—but the wedges, with a sole that borrows a little too liberally from those cellulite-busting sneakers, kind of killed it for us in the end. Not to mention that, in a town where the longest walk on a night out is the one from the valet stand, a pair of gel insoles are really all you need.
