Costume Department and Posso the Spat have pretty much cornered the market on directional accessories in LA—the first with its print-tastic leggings, the second via spats revisited—so it's not really surprising that the two should be collaborating on a capsule collection together. Style File reports that the new line, called "Space Safari", is set to include "swimsuits, cover-ups, belts, cuffs and spats", all done up in lots of neon and netting. The partnership first came about when a Costume Department designer offered to create Coachella outfits for Posso's Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini, who then suggested creating an entire collection together. “We do design for our lifestyle...Which maybe isn’t the most normal lifestyle,” Giovacchini tells the blog. But if it's a lifestyle you'd like to buy into, '80s Purple and Posso the Spat's website will both be serving it up in about a month's time.
