She may still be something of an underground sensation in her hometown of LA, but Single designer Galina Sobolev is apparently pretty big news in Paris. For the past few months, the designer has been featured at the Galleries Lafayette department store, where clients have been clamoring over her wildly-printed silk maxidresses and kaftans. She tells California Apparel News: "“The sales have been really great, and re-orders come in every 4 weeks—that is truly something in today’s economy!” [CAN]
