Red Bulls and Bloody Marys were the accessories of choice at yesterday's LoftSEVEN sample sale, making its debut in Downtown LA's newly refurbished Haas Building. A group of around ten vendors were on hand to serve a steady stream of shoppers—an all-the-more impressive crowd considering the first-time event was competing with WeHo's Pride weekend and the monthly Rose Bowl flea market. Highlights included a diverse array of George Esquivel's handmade shoes (including a few rare styles for women) for half off, a smattering of Society for Rational Dress, Rami Kashou and Mara Hoffman samples at the Mava boutique table, and lots of saucy, yet steeply discounted lingerie by Carol Malony. Although the roster will be changed up a little next time (sales are held on the second Sunday of each month), organizer Ivan Navarro was kind enough to send a photo gallery of the inaugural festivities.
