SANTA MONICA—For the past few weeks, the vacant Blonde boutique at 2430 Main Street has been taken over by a sample sale involving lots of designer denim. They've apparently been taking notes on the sale-as-nightclub trend we've been noticing around town, because BargainsLA reports they'll be staying open until midnight this weekend with a DJ and cocktails (we haven't been able to confirm this yet, but if anything changes you'll be the first to know). 3RD ST. PROMENADE—In other Santa Monica denim news, the Lucky Brand store at 1213 3rd Street Promenade will be hosting an acoustic Bat for Lashes gig this Sunday. Artists William Lemon III and Blake E. Marquis will also be on hand to paint on jeans and screenprint things, respectively, while LA-based Giant Artists have provided the wall candy. ANGELENO HEIGHTS—Finally, Iko Iko is hosting the second of its Champagne Saturdays at 1298 Sunset Blvd. In addition to 15% off a cleverly curated mix of fashion and art, proprietor Kristin Dickson is also throwing in a DJ set by Secret Ceremony, who are reportedly bringing their cat along.
