Pure Genius: Brits Invent a Vending Machine for Flats

Innovation often comes in pairs. Much the same way Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace came up with evolution at exactly the same time, two British companies have separately hit upon the idea of selling flats out of a vending machine. It's a brilliant concept because it brings together three eternal truths: Women in heels are always getting fed up and requiring a change of shoe; flats are always cheap; and everyone, everywhere, loves vending machines. Rollasoles and Afterheels both sell their little balled-up ballet flats for 5 pounds, or about $8. The latter, perhaps responding to the wastefulness implied by selling disposable shoes, also promise their shoes are sustainable, with recyclable insoles. Can we get these in the US soon, please?
