Anna Wintour Spotted at Tavern! With a Burger!

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour doesn't often come round these parts, so we were very excited to learn from LA Mag's Chic Leak blog that just this week she paid a visit to Los Angeles just this week. The magazine reports a sighting at Brentwood restaurant Tavern:

Our Dine editor, Lesley Bargar Suter, spotted the bony queen Monday evening at a table with two older Frenchmen and a woman with curly red hair and black eyeglasses. Anna ate a turkey burger?if disposing of the bun, not touching the fries, and ripping a piece of bread into 30 pieces can be called “eating.”

Weird—the movies had led us to believe that high-powered fashion editors ate nothing but steak. In any case, Wintour apparently finished the meal by chatting up Jim Belushi and his date, which makes sense because we hear he's totally short-listed for the July '09 cover.
