Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Cuteness purveyor Paul Frank has invented an entire imaginary world for the monkeys, giraffes, and other animals that appear on the company products. It's called Planned Pines (which sounds a bit more like a gated community, than, say, Narnia—but we digress) and at the moment it's occupying the windows of Kitson on Robertson Boulevard. In the display, three mannequin girls ride their bikes through Paul Frank trees into the Paul Frank universe, the better to buy some Paul Frank t-shirts.
