Last we heard, designer Bret Westfall was opening a new store, to be called M'ouments, in the 4th Street location where he'd hosted a Comme des Garcons pop-up shop last year. Now, Blogdowntown reports that the spot is open but it hasn't quite undergone the full-body makeover we'd imagined: "While Westfall is planning new merchandise and a redone aesthetic for M'ouments, the store opens with a sale on the lineup that had previously been carried in the space during its pop-up days. Work on the redesign should start soon, but the store will remain open during the transition period." So it's not really a new store so much as an old store with a new name—at least for the moment.
