One of the slowest-burning embers on the LA retail landscape, Rock & Republic on Robertson Boulevard appears to be one step closer to opening its doors. After months of plywood and ill-fated opening dates slated for last November and February, the shop's facade has finally been unveiled. Pebbly textured glass wraps the building at eye level while a paillette-encrusted marquee holds court up top, like so much shimmer on a Posh Spice minidress.
But despite this landmark reveal, a peek inside the papered-over windows showed nothing but barren space, save for a few naked mannequins and some sad empty racks. We have a feeling denim fiends will be able to hold on just a little longer, though—after all, Paige Premium Denim, True Religion and Seven For All Mankind are all within a one-block radius.
