Above the Fray: Rachel Zoe Sells Cuffs for a Cause at Decades Two

Proving yet again that one style muse's spring cleaning effort is another girl's treasure trove, Rachel Zoe launched a sale of her costume jewelry at Decades Two last night —and it's continuing today on Ebay. An eclectic mix of celebrities (Nicole Richie, Perrey Reeves), little rich girls, and nattily-dressed gentlemen dodged the Rachel Zoe Project cameras to peruse almost 100 pieces from the superstylist's archive.

Some of the baubles are trademark Zoe—gold hoops and chandelier earrings, bangles of all varieties (including Alexis Bittar and Lia Sophia), chunky turquoise rings, serpentine cuffs and collars—but others are more unexpected, like a delicate antique chain made from filigreed silver and pearls. Each piece is merchandised in a vignette inspired by Zoe's life, incorporating her catchphrases, family photos, favorite records, magazine clippings, and, naturally, a few subtly-placed reality show logos. Prices are reasonable—few items break the $250 mark, and most of them fall far below that—and, as we mentioned yesterday, all proceeds will benefit the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.

"Christos [Garkinos], Cameron [Silver] and I are really good friends—we buy and sell from each other all the time," says Zoe. "Getting rid of your personal possessions is a very emotional experience, so when I decided I wanted to do this, it was always going to be with them." Adds Garkinos, who handpicked each piece for the sale, "It's just a great way of raising awareness for a cause, and we definitely plan to keep hosting events like this. I'm ready to go into anyone's closet who will let me!" Fingers crossed that Nicole Richie liked what she saw...
