Back in 1991, designer Stephen Sprouse found himself with a Chateau Marmont hotel bill he couldn't pay. So he bartered, offering hotel owner Andre Balazs some sketches of Marmont-branded apparel. Balazs being a busy man, he put the drawings aside and didn't find them again until a few months ago—which was excellent timing, since we're currently in the middle of a new Sprouse frenzy brought about by famous fans of the designer like Marc Jacobs and Kanye West. Now, the hotel plans to produce all six of the designs. This won't be the first foray into Sprouseabilia for them, though: Their gift shop currently sells a Sprouse hat, t-shirt and postcard.
