Above the Fray: Kitson Outlet a Peaceful Oasis of Neon Denim, Novelty Tees

Third Street Promenade's temporary Kitson Outlet is open for business from 10am to 9pm for the next two weeks, with new stock arriving daily. If Kitson's your thing, there are certainly some deals to be had:

The Good: Dig under a glut of neon denim to find more classic styles by J Brand, Radcliffe, Superfine and dVb starting at $98. Also, look for the small table of $38 bikinis by Diane Von Furstenberg, Shoshanna and Milly, along with shoes under $100 by Report, Sam Edelman, London Sole and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Oh, and they have private dressing rooms!

The Bad: Kids' clothes cost nearly as much as their adult counterparts, while racks of dresses yielded few prices under $200, and few styles that wouldn't qualify as Fug Girls fodder. We were also surprised at the paltry selection of handbags (mostly CC Skye, Treesje and L.A.M.B.) and menswear.

The Shameful: Paris Hilton's line of tees and sweats going for a whopping $11, a massive stack of Hunter Wellies in the back (an ill-conceived LA buying decision if we've ever seen one), and a tower of Tori Spelling books hovering hopefully at the cash register.
