Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In late January, West Hollywood lost its lone Famima!! (Damn you, hyperpunctuated store name and your ability to make us sound more excited than we really are!) The city's still getting Famimafied at a rapid pace, though—the latest branch of the high-class convenience store opens tomorrow at 700 Wilshire Boulevard, bringing the neighborhood's Famima count up to five. They're celebrating the opening with giveaways, a lunch raffle, and free samples. Meanwhile, Famima flacks promise future locations in the Roosevelt Building and Union Station, plus Pasadena and West LA.
