LAist drops in on Abbot Kinney's Tortoise, which attempts to do for objects what the slow-food movement does for produce. What does that mean? Well, according to their website, Tortoise is all about "'things' which have been here for long time, 'technique' which has been fostered through history, 'shapes' which never change in time." We can't honestly say that clears things up, but in any case, the shop looks pretty cute. [LAist]
