Relocations: Anthropologie Moves South of Wilshire

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you've gone in search of an overpriced but darling peasant blouse in Beverly Hills lately, you've perhaps noticed that the Anthropologie on 320 North Beverly Drive is no longer with us. The chain traveled several blocks south recently, opening in a new location on 211 South Beverly last night with a kickoff event that doubled as a benefit for kid's reading program 826LA. The new space is massive—10,000 square feet, two floors&8212;and has been decorated in Anthro's classic shabby-chic fashion. Ironically, it used to be an office building, so we're guessing all the vintage accessories don't exactly reflect its history, but they're also probably more fun to look at than whatever IBM Selectrics once occupied the place.
