Last we heard, Earnest Sewn was supposed to be opening a 6,000-square-foot store in the former home of Town Tire Co on Beverly Boulevard in February 2009. February has come and gone, though, and there's been no movement in the space. Yesterday's WWD article about Earnest Sewn mentioned that "a lease for a fourth store on Beverly Boulevard in L.A. was signed in January 2008, but build-out permits are still being sought," but Tasha at Blackburn & Sweetzer has it that the company has given up on that location entirely. Kind of a shame—we always liked the idea of a denim boutique in a tire store.
