You might think it was a bad time to be a "jeweler to royalty and celebrities," as the Mouawad website describes itself, but the company has been pushing bling since 1890 and they're not going to let a little recession stop them. At Nicole Richie's House of Harlow launch party last week, scion Pascal Mouawad told Fashion Rules that he'll be opening up a new store on Melrose in the next few months. The store, "near Madison and Fred Segal," will come equipped with an espresso bar and a bar bar, which strikes us as a very recession-friendly idea: Even if shoppers aren't willing to buy jewelry right now, they'll probably at least spend a couple bucks on a drink while they're browsing.
