It looks like Hollywood is getting a TJs. An eagle-eyed tipster spotted the signage above on the construction fence in front of the old Bernard Luggage building at Hollywood and Vine. The site is slated to become a W Hotel with some condos thrown in (Curbed published the renderings last May), but clearly all those visitors and residents need a place to buy two-buck Chuck. The whole thing should be done in fall 2009.
Adds the tipster: "I saw some renderings a while back for development plans (more condos!) for the parking lot south of Selma on Vine (just north of the Washington Mutual / House of Blues tower) which included a Whole Foods—not sure if it was just in the rendering or if something is planned there. I'll see if I can dig them up." We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, as always, the tipline is open, and anchors are standing by.
