LA Fashion Week is just a month away, and it appears that a few more events may be joining Gen Art's New Garde and Box Eight on the still-spotty schedule. Remember Downtown Fashion Week, last fall's Smashbox alternative that never materialized? It may become a reality this season, having named the MOCA Geffen Contemporary as its official venue. According to the listing on Fashionweekla.com, further details will be announced later in February. The Los Angeles Fashion Awards, another of last season's casualties, are also set to re-emerge next month, honoring last year's winners at a 'special reception' held on March 20th—presumably one with far less glitz and pomp than in previous years.
