Fashion does not take the weekend off, which is why Racked NY spent the entire weekend in the tents at Manhattan's Bryant Park, enduring such onerous tasks as liveblogging the Diane von Furstenberg show and taking pictures of drunk male models. The action, listed for your convenience:
.) Barbie's runway show: To celebrate the doll's fiftieth birthday, fifty designers recreated her most iconic looks, and celebs flocked like six-year-old girls to a brand-new Barbie's Dream House.
.) Male models: In the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge, we found really ridiculously good-looking boys eating the insides of sandwiches and flinging the bread at each other.
.) Hervé Légér: The bandage dresses were tight, the heels were high, and the floor was slippery. By the end, three models had wiped out.
.) Diane von Furstenberg: Everyone from Claudia Schiffer to Diana Ross turned out for this collection of romantic, layered looks.
.) Y-3: Fans of the cult collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas went nuts when the designer himself, generally an elusive figure, appeared on the runway surrounded by small children. Also in attendance: Kanye West.
