Inside Tools for Living in October
DWR might really be in reach for some lucky entrepreneur: It sounds like the owners are trying to sell. According to Reuters, DWR "said it hired investment banking firm Thomas Weisel Partners LLC to help it review strategic options, including a possible sale of the company." Apparently, someone recently made them an "unsolicited offer," inspiring them to seriously consider handing over the reigns. Tasha at Blackburn & Sweetzer notes that DWR's last business move—launching more affordable Tools for Living shops in Santa Monica and NYC—was a smart one, since "DWR is really friggin' expensive." But maybe it wasn't enough?
