Our Children Is Learning To Be Resourceful And Artistic

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Since we couldn't look at this without our snarky little hearts turning to puddles, we thought we'd share it with the whole class. The LA-based Worldwise Education's Artwork for Education program sells reprints of holiday drawings by local schoolchildren as greeting cards, and the proceeds go back to the child's school. So instead of sending the same cheesy Hallmark stuff this season, you can send something unique. If anything sold at the bajillion SoCal Whole Foods locations is considered unique. But if you have family members you don't talk to very often, you can avoid those awkward "when are you going to have children?" questions for one year.
