Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The Geren Ford sale over at Smashbox Studios in WeHo is officially pretty good. Maybe even great. We got there when it first opened: lots of stock of current (Fall09) clothes in plenty of sizes, well organized, good selection, friendly staff (which is the reason we don't have more photos: the staff to customer ratio was maybe six to one). The zippered dress, above, came in both navy and black for $120. Other goodies included the ruffled chub for $120, ruffle neck tops for $30, a good selection of skirts for $20 and $40, dresses for $50, and well-stuffed $10 and $20 bins. Parking is a little tough: our advice is to park on Poinsettia and walk through the Trader Joes lot.
