Usually we're all for lawsuits that penalize companies from copying designs. And usually we totally think Paris Hilton deserves what she gets. But in the case of Gwyneth Shoes suing the Hilton heiress, we have to reverse our positions on both, which totally makes our heads hurt (and we haven't even popped a cork for NYE yet). You see, the objectionable part of the shoe here is the insole. A little heart-shaped cushion inside the shoe that you rub your sweaty little feet on. Of course, a bunch of companies feature and sell these, but suing them won't get your lawsuit in the newspaper. We smell an attention whore, and for the first time it's not Paris Hilton. [The Cut]
