FASHION DISTRICT - If you wish you could give fashionable gifts without going to the mall, stop by the FIDM Museum Shop's Alumni Holiday Trunk Show and Sample Sale. On December 1, the downtown store at 919 S. Grand Ave will have deals on apparel, leather goods, jewelry, accessories, swimwear and even doggie couture designs from FIDM alumni. Over 25 designers will be featured from 10am to 4pm. If your friends aren't good enough for couture gifts, buy something nice for yourself. [Racked Inbox]
FASHION DISTRICT - We're banking on truth in advertising that you can get some really special gifts at Unique Los Angeles this weekend at the California Market Center. Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm, shop over 300 vendors selling fashion, accessories, food, homegoods, and pretty much everything in between. Tickets are $10, and part of the proceeds go to the non-profit group 826LA. Every attendee gets an exclusive cotton tote bag, a drink ticket and a wristband for re-entry, so you can run in and out to all the other sample sales going on this weekend. There's a Green Room with over 50 eco designers, free giftwrapping and free DIY workshops so that you, too, can unlock your unique gifts within. [Racked Inbox]
