Now Open: Miu Miu at South Coast Plaza. For Real!

We suffered a few false starts on this one, but we drove down to South Coast Plaza again today. Miu Miu is open. And it is soooo lovely. The walls are done up in a dramatic green and gold brocade wallpaper. The store and its furnishings are soft, but not overly done: it makes the perfect backdrop for Miu Miu's lacy, furry, sparkly, bedazzled offerings. (The last two elements are apparently a big thing for the Holiday09 collection, which features playful baubles with huge stones, and small leather accessories with lots of?dare we say bling?) When you were a little girl and you dreamed of being a princess who had a pony and did ballet, this is actually what you were dreaming about.
