Space.NK Sells Grown-Up Glitter and Gold for the Holidays

If you're near the Century City Bloomingdale's, drop everything and get there before 2pm to meet Space.NK's founder, Nicky Kinnaird, and get her personal recommendations for the holidays. She gave us a tour of the new goods this morning, and we were completely caught up in a world of shimmery, gilded products and "grown-up glitter" that swirled around us so fast we couldn't even catch all the price points.

New ways to literally bathe yourself in gold include chemical-free Rococo nail enamel with 24-carat gold flecks ($32.50), Nuxe's Huile Prodigieuse d'Or body oil ($53), By Terry's Or de Rose lip gloss and lotion and Oribe 24-carat gold hair pomade. Yes, real gold goo to highlight your hair. If you like shiny without the gilded appeal, there's NARS's 15th anniversary holiday color palette ($75), Jemma Kidd's glitter eyeliners in green and silver, and Sonia Kashuk's new travel-sized sustainable-wood brushes that come in a metallic gunmetal leather bag ($100).

Of course, not everything has to be crazy slick and sparkly to be great for the holidays. We also loved Rococo's Gothic Lolita nail enamel ($16.50) in a deep blue/grey shade, Lipstick Queen's 15-minutes of fame nude lip gloss sets ($28), the Wrapped in Spice holiday candle that seriously smells like the holidays ($20), Mor's ornate lip delight gloss tins ($14), Rodial's LA Facelift in a Box (are they trying to imply something here?) and Life.NK's scented and unscented bath products created by Nicky Kinnaird herself. We're also thinking of stocking up on some Bakel Skincare's Serum One Antioxidant Formula ($140) before all of our dehydrating airplane travel, plus Elemental Herbology's Ultimate Detox kit before New Year's Eve.

If you can't get away from your desk long enough to make it to Westfield Century City right now, don't fret... Nicky plans on making more trips to our coast early next year to help you with those inevitable after-the-holiday crashes. Not that we know anything about those.
