It's official, Christian Lacroix has been purchased by Sheikh Al Hassan Bin Al Nuaimi. That's good news for Lacroix fans who were worried the baroque craziness might disappear and the Lacroix name be licensed off for sunglasses or something. It is said that the sheikh intends to maintain the couture line (yay!) and bolster the company's luxury positioning. Bolster? How much more "luxury" can Lacroix couture get? We kind of can't wait to find out. [WWD]
