The more details emerge about the Photoshopped Ralph Lauren ad that made model Filippa Hamilton look like an alien, the worse Ralph Lauren looks. After their legal threats failed to get Boing Boing to take down their posts about the ad, the company changed courses and admitted responsibility for the poor imaging. Now, though, Hamilton has accused Ralph of firing her because she gained weight. Based on her picture, we're guessing Hamilton is a victim of high fashion's inability to deal with actual female curves, a problem Lara "I don't want to be the fat one anymore" Stone has also faced. Which does put things in perspective: At least Ralph Lauren didn't feel the need to shoot Hamilton in blackface. [Jezebel; NYDN]
