Big news, Burbank: You guys are getting another Fresh and Easy. 1615 W. Verdugo, formerly the home of a CVS, will soon become a branch of the eco-conscious supermarket chain, which already has one outpost at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard. Plans for the store are rolling right along. This past Monday night, the Burbank Planning Board approved the Finding of Public Convenience or Necessity for beer and wine sales for the location—beer and wine being, of course, two things that are convenient and necessary. In November we heard that Fresh and Easy were slowing down their growth in 2009, so we're guessing this was planned pre-recession.
