Now Open: Kitson on Melrose

Not sure how the opening of Kitson's Melrose Ave emporium slipped past our radar—but, apparently, we aren't the only ones not paying attention. According to a member of the sales team, the five weeks since its launch have been "Pretty slow, since no one knows we're open." The quiet will probably be short-lived, however, thanks to a grand opening party at the end of February feting Nicole Richie's newest House of Harlow 1960 jewelry collection.

The new shop, located at 8590 Melrose, is set to carry higher-end labels than its four Robertson siblings, but when we popped into the other locations later in the day, we spotted a lot of shared pieces. In the meantime, female fans should be kept satisfied with a selection of Elizabeth and James, Pencey and Jill Stuart, men with labels like LA's Orthodox and Degaine, and both with cases of jewelry, shoes and assorted gift-y things.
