One hundred notable LA-ers—including fashion folks such as Katy Rodriguez, Loree Rodkin, Cameron Silver, Rose Apodaca, and Kelly Wearstler—were given a disposable camera to capture "Who is Los Angeles?" for Culver City gallery LAXART. Curator Lauri Firstenberg told Material Interest: "They're approaching the project in many different ways—from portraits to various icons and sites." The blog reports "the photos will be mounted and displayed anonymously, and once buyers decide which piece of work they want, the person behind the lens will be revealed." The ticketed event is Sunday, September 7 from 6pm-8pm and benefits the contemporary arts programming of LAXART. Check the entire list of participants here, which ranges from Cisco Adler to Bret Easton Ellis.
