Just a couple weeks ago, Westfield Topanga mall was kiddie central, and now, as one of our colleagues reports it's all "ladies in their 50s and 60s." This is no doubt bolstered by the opening of Neiman Marcus ("there was so much Botox in that place!"), a palatial two-level den of designer labels and luxurious shopping. The store was "jammed," the cafe was "packed," and "the first floor makeup counters had women climbing on top of each other. People were coming out with two and three bags each." Good news is there was plenty of staff to handle the shopping frenzy and there have been no mascara- or eyeliner-related injuries reported—yet.
