Pop singer Sheryl Crow has designed reusable totes for Whole Foods, available nationwide beginning October 15 through the holiday season. Offered in two sizes and costing only $.79-$.99, a release via PR Newswire describes A Better Bag as featuring "a charcoal sketch of a tree with words written by Crow specifically for this project woven into the artwork...made from 80 percent post-consumer recycled plastic bottles." Specifically, "Each bag represents approximately four 20-ounce plastic bottles," which will hopefully dissuade shoppers from filling it with bottled water. Proceeds benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council. [PR Newswire]
