Now Open: Keep Company on Fairfax

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Keep Company crew was still putting together the finishing touches on their new Fairfax Avenue shop, a transplant from Hillhurst in Los Feliz. Store Manager Stephanie told Racked that the opportunity came up to move to the 800-square-foot Fairfax space, and though they liked their old neighborhood, "There's more foot traffic and there's a sneaker vibe here." Indeed, just north of Rosewood up from SLB, Flight Club, Alife, Supreme, and around the corner from The Hundreds, Keep Company adds a female sneaker presence to the area. Its shoes are basically unisex, but are sold in female sizes, now up to 14, which fits a men's 12 1/2.

Keep is expanding its offering with the move, including the debut of the label's first full women's apparel line (which was arriving in a few hours from our visit), which will retail from $65-$135. The shop will also carry a few other brands—Super and Mosely Tribes sunglasses, Hamburger Eye's T-shirts, among others. And coming for spring '09 and hitting the store in February: major cuteness in the form of Keep for baby. Check it out this Saturday, September 6 for the grand opening party. There will be Pabst and a 10% discount by printing this email out.
